In briefanswer capsule

Hador came young into Fingolfin's household and won the king's affection; Dor-lómin was given into his keeping, and the greater part of his kin settled there with him. Elvish alone was spoken in his house, though the people's own tongue survived beside it. His sons were Galdor and Gundor, and through Galdor the line runs to Húrin and Huor, and so to Túrin and Tuor. He died holding the fortress of Eithel Sirion for Fingon, a short time before his son fell in the same place.
