In briefanswer capsule

Hallatan of Hyarastorni was Aldarion’s cousin and kept sheep in that land. After leaving Erendis, Aldarion rode to him intending rest and reflection, yet did not stay. In Council only Hallatan did not beg Tar-Meneldur to postpone; he valued Aldarion, though their ways differed, and thought the deed worthy and well judged. When Tar-Aldarion left for Middle-earth in 883 or 884, Hallatan became regent. Ancalimë later hid on a farm at his borders.
