Vidugavia stood foremost among Northmen princes and took the title King of Rhovanion. He aided Rómendacil II of Gondor against the Easterlings and received that ruler’s favour. Rómendacil died in 1366. When Valacar, the son of Rómendacil, took Vidumavi, a daughter of Vidugavia, to wife, the Kin-strife followed in Gondor in the fifteenth century.
