The Tolkien Tage at Geldern-Pont are the largest event of their kind. The organiser's own figures trace the growth: over 5,000 visitors in 2017, over 8,000 in 2019, sold out from 2022 onward, and about 14,000 guests across four days in 2025 and 2026.

The four days are not alike: a cinema Thursday, a concert Friday, and two full event days over the weekend. The site is a wooded festival ground rather than a hall, and the event runs in any weather.

One thing worth knowing before booking: the organiser is looking for a new site. Nothing of the size needed can be used permanently at Pont, so the ground has to be built and dismantled every year — the search for a lasting home in the Geldern region is running publicly.

The organiser warns explicitly about resold tickets: only the official platform should be used. We pass that on because it is their notice and it concerns money — we sell nothing and take no commission.
