The house of Finarfin, and the four who held the north

Finarfin alone of Finwë's sons turned back from the Kinslaying; his children went on. The Silmarillion names them together: Finrod the faithful, Orodreth, Angrod and Aegnor — four whose friendship with the sons of Fingolfin the book sets level with brotherhood — and Galadriel, who outlived them all by an age and a half.
