Anach

Anach is a pass giving descent from Taur-nu-Fuin beside the Ered Gorgoroth. Beleg tells Túrin that Orcs have found an exit from that woodland and cut a route through the Pass of Anach. He places it between the Crissaegrim and the eastern Gorgoroth, above the Mindeb’s headwaters. This difficult path now carries heavy traffic; Dimbar lies under the Black Hand, and Brethil’s people are disturbed. Túrin has no recollection of the place.
