Tarondor, twenty-sixth king of Gondor, son of Minastan and a Dúnadan, followed Telemnar after the plague destroyed that king and all his children. Still young when he took power, he reigned longer than any other king of Gondor and died in 1798 of the Third Age. He placed a White Tree seedling in Minas Anor's citadel and shifted the royal house there as Osgiliath emptied. He mainly restored order and strength within the realm.
