Who lived when

One axis per age, its own scale each. Where Tolkien gives birth and death, there is a bar; where he gives only one, a stroke with an open end. Elves who never died run out to the right; the Years of the Trees carry no year numbers in the register and are therefore not drawn. Colour is the kindred — hover a name for the dates.
