The Kings of Arnor, Elendil to Eärendur

The northern kingdom held together for ten reigns. Appendix A names them from Elendil the Tall to Eärendur, after whose day Arnor was divided among his sons and never made whole again — the beginning of a slow dissolution that ends, a thousand years later, with a Ranger in the wild who is still the heir.
