The Kings of Arthedain, Amlaith to Arvedui

When Arnor was divided, Amlaith of Fornost held the eldest line. Fifteen kings follow, ending with Arvedui, whose name means Last-king — a seer gave it to him at his birth. He claimed the crown of Gondor, was refused, and drowned in the ice of the northern bay. After him no king ruled in the North, only chieftains.
